I (34) met a guy (31) who at first said he only wanted friends. But then we started talking and over time he started flirting with me and stuff. Then 2 weeks in we made plans to go out and I asked if we were going as friends, and he said “I thought it was a date?”.
So we went out and he kissed me, and then he asked what I thought of him. And if I wanted to be friends, friends with benefits, have a relationship, etc. He said that wanted to be my boyfriend. I had to think about it for bit and I agreed to be his girlfriend. We only kissed and messed around a little. No sex yet, and he hasn't tried to pressure me for sex either.
I'm going to his family's house tomorrow to dance and hang out. We are both latino, so that part is normal culturally. But I just think it's interesting that he started out saying he only wanted friends, and suddenly he said he wanted something serious with me. This is the first time it's happened this way, so I'd like to get some opinions on this
